The hardware detection identifies the 1020. The Gutenprint Driver for the 1022 doesn't error, the print job just proceeds into some netherworld. You really have to shake your head at the smallness of the minds that do this sort of thing.

As I pointed out earlier Apple does not write the printer drivers (nor does MS). It is up to hp. Apparently they don't consider Mac users as much of a market. Kind of like OS/2 and eCS.
