The ladies have sensitivities that are at an steep angle to male humor.
I've learned this more or less the hard way thru the years. Gentle
humor is almost always effective, but male humor is mostly of the
pratfall variety.



I've found it's always safer to provide a subtle compliment to the lady
in question rather than exercise your humor, which is often a impedance
mismatch with the female outlook.

I'd gone to my local library again last night (some items were due for return) and while there looked up the creator / writer of that TV series. Her name was / is Winnie Holzman(sp). (I can't remember whether it is an 's' or a 'z'.)

I wouldn't send that one - wrong kind of humor for most women. Yes,
it's funny in a way, but too easily read as insulting.

She is THE central character in the (short-lived) TV series, "My So-Called Life". Circa-1992. I know because I recently (a few months back) 'came across' the DVD-set of it at my local public library and checked them out to watch.
