Most sticks I've used were just plug and play. Some have required a bit
of work with the VCU (adding a volume indicator to the stick) but no
data loss. There are some problematic sticks that in order to work do
require those steps (assuming FAT32 and not JFS). In particular, many
drives have no partition and are seen as a large floppy which only works
on OS/2 if formatted as FAT and not FAT32.
