Yeah, this _IS_ me-to-me BUT .. it's REALLY for 'the rest of you'.

I've finally been 'back into' my old computer (*), recently, and, today, was  using it to re-part'n the "BIG" backup USB drive. I popped open a saved webpage and found ref. to the EFI 'bios' I had been talking about in my previous letter. A little 'hunting' (in MY bookmarks) got me:

where YOU can read about "EFI" as the replacement for "BIOS".

The one where the hard drive died, suddenly and without warning (of course!), and I refrigerated it.
(I'll save the rest of the story for a later letter - since it's highly UNlikely that I'll make a 'Food SIG' to tell you in-person! :-(  )
