Just be sure that the dhcp range in the router is higher than the fixed addresses, and that 
everything matches up with the new subnet.

If the machines are using one machine now as a gateway, and you assign the router to that 
address, that machine will need to get a new IP address and that needs to be set in the hosts 
files; also it needs to set the new gateway address.
