Agree with this unless you need to access computers on the net using basic TCP tools like ftp,
ping, etc. In this case, do what I did and assign the computers fixed IP addresses and put them
all in a hosts file on all systems.

It would help if we knew more about the systems on the network and how it's currently set up.
