I prefer to use DHCP for all addresses in my network except for items
that I need to get to directly (like my printers and a separate access
point). If you are not going to use DHCP, you will need to set the base
address of your router to the same subnet as the rest of your network
(currently 192.168.0.xxx).
The firewall in the router is probably all you need to protect the
network behind the router.
WINS should not be required. Windows systems are the only systems that
I know of that use it.
