A subsequent message from the person who sent the DOCX file said that
it was created on a 'new MAC!'

I knew about the injunction, but did not connect that to the DOCX type.
 And, I've not heard any follow up about what MS plans to do.  I wonder
how it impacts the [supposed] OO 3.x Beta support?
