[Discussion] DOS Critical Error

All the BIOS has ever known how to do is read a "card" (80 bytes) from 
the current boot device and execute the instruction in the 1st position 
of the "card".  The "card" normally reads the next record on the drive 
and branches to it to start the boot process.   This goes back to the 
earliest days of computers.
