OK, plan B.  Copy all the other files, using wildcards to expedite stuff  - *.com, etc. until you have everything 
moved over.  Then delete the directory in filestar.

If that doesn't work download some unix like tools from Hobbes and if the directory is x\y\z go to the command 
line, navigate to x\y and do an rm -fR z
