I, too, began using Mesa2 as soon as it became available and used it  
daily until I (mostly) switched to a Macintosh.

As a native OS/2 app, Mesa2 easily outperformed any other spreadsheet  
available, was compact (it fit on a 3 1/2 inch floppy), had a good  
printed manual, and was well supported.  Another reason was the its  
principal developer was J. Daniel (Dan) Kulp, who was a graduate  
student at Northeastern University when I first switched over from  
DOS to OS/2 in 1993.  Dan helped me get OS/2 up and running on the  
Northeastern network so that I could have free email and internet  
access.

If Mesa2 were available for the Mac, I'd probably still be using it now.
