Both are CAD programs. One is for model railroads and one is a
general CAD program. They run perfectly. Remember that you are
running real Wombat, not a simulation. I have not tried loading eCS.
I ran OS/2 and eCS happily for years. Some time ago the task of
maintaining computers and software lost its charm. I am interested in
the tasks I want to perform, not he method of getting there. As I
needed to replace hardware it became more difficult to support the new
stuff. I was faced with starting anew. Wombat is simply unacceptable
and Linux seems to be anything but stable or at least requires more
maintenance than I am willing to provide. The same holds true for eCS
along with hardware support problems.
Over the years a lot of my complaints about the MAC have been
addressed making it the logical choice for me.
I know it is not OS/2 but I thought it might be instructive to see one
long time users journey through the computer jungle.
