[Discussion] Installing Firefox 3.0.10 and corollary question

Over the weekend I downloaded Firefox 3.0.10 and attempted to install it 
on my eCS 1.1 system. I will play with it next weekend and see how far I 
get - I am not looking for help yet, but I have this burning question: 
how far/close we are to getting eCS 2.0 (the real thing)? I assume that 
it will come with the latest versions of these internet access programs 
and they will install from the CD without any trouble and *run*. So, any 
clues, anyone? If it is close, I'll wait, rather than struggle.
