It's not the drives folder that causes the problem, it's when I right click on the drive object from the eCenter.
If I want to view the contents of a drive I must first left click on the drive, then I can right click on any folders and display 
their contents.  This is the only way I can look at a file's properties, for example.  If I a file is the root of a drive
(not within a folder) I cannot right click on it.    If I forget and right click the drive the contents window displays with
nothing showing and the churning begins.  I have to use WatchCat to reboot.
