Yes.  I routinely swapped in all DANI drivers from well before eCS and 
continued starting with eCS 1.0.  It was a couple years before I started 
to understand some of the effects.  As to the effect on LVM, I don't 
know, because DANI was already there when I added JFS.  I don't use LVM 
because it is not the solution to any problem I am aware I have.  All my 
HDDs are front panel plug-in, and they move a lot.  I do not want to 
have to mount them.
