Try PCLInuxOS - Live CD, and just released 2009 Version.

Rather than show my ignorance here, I defer to the wiki...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCLinuxOS

I have installed the WINE and DOS emulators for most of the programs I needed to migrate. I have not found an
os/2 interface, so I use the remote desktop to access the os/2 machine.

Their "Synaptic" downloads a searchable index of currently supported packages, a donation increases the number to
over 8k in the 2007 version. Very handy for finding applications (i.e. astronomy, ham radio).

It has the KDE interface as well.
