it is very different but I cannot detail the particulars. SLES has 
more security built in, more stable applications and a support 
contract.

OpenSuse is more 'experimental', 'cutting-edge', etc., and no support, 
as far as I know, beyond some setup help, online forums and 
people-in-the-know.
