Actually it is quite possible to add the BootManager to Grub and get
back OS/2 booting. Still it pissed me off the first time I installed
Ubuntu and I lost the BootManager. Other distros that messed with the
MBR at least added BootManager to the new boot menu, even if only
labeled with the partition type.
I filed a bug about it and it got marked cosmetic and closed which was
disappointing.
