I - 1 - Both of your letters have refused to bring up the "Reply" composure web-page at Yahoo! mail when opened in a seperate tab. Hmmmm?

II - 2 - From the web ref.; it IS a notebook with a:

Intel® Pentium® Dual Core T3400 processor ( 2.16GHz 667MHz 1MB )
for $499 (dual 32-bit Pentium 4 cores in a single "chip")

AND (the other) has a

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T6400 ( 2GHz 800MHz 2MB )
for $599 (dual 64-bit cores in a single "chip")
.

I'd _GUESS_ the following as "LOOK OUT FOR" ("GOTCHAS") with regard the first (or second) notebooks:

Dual ProcessorS MAY "choke" (64-bit ones even more likely to) -
    or just "trip up" - Warp 4 and some early eCS versions;

That MUCH (3GB) memory MAY, also, do the same
    (64MB was A LOT when Warp 4 was "conceived");

lastly, I have NO idea whether SciTech Display Doctor (or its sequel, ?)
    have ANY support for the Intel Graphics / (multi-)Media Accelerator.

The HDD is, ALMOST, certainly on a SATA controller so Daniella Engelhart's DANIS driver should get that working OK - IN compatability mode, NOT "extra performance" mode.

Well those are my thoughts. There are those who frequent this list-serv who should be able to tell you more OR just direct you TO where you CAN GET better info.

Sincerely,

Thomas Clayton
