Is this the same as disk-device in the preferences tab?  It's been awhile since I tried backing up 
this way but seems to me that it is good for only 2 gigs, if you are backing up more than that it 
croaks.  Or maybe I'm not remembering correctly?  Is this what you are using and is it backing up 
more than 2 gigs?

I've gone back to xcopy to a dedicated 500gb drive but I'd like to make ba2k work.  I have the last 
released ba2k server edition.
