I rarely use BA/2 any more for various reasons, one being a problem with my autochanger that I have 
not yet tried to troubleshoot.

Can you tell me what hardware you are using for BA/2, including type of cartridges.  I may be in 
the market sometime later to upgrade my tape drive so am curious what you are using.
