[Discussion] pata to sata adapter

I received several replies to my question, so I will not quote
them all.

The board is one that fastens onto the drive - not a plug in card.
It was shipped from Hong Kong, so I suspect that it was made in
China and there are no instructions. I got it on eBay for $4.15
including shipping. It actually looks well made.

At least one of you indicated that there are no drive settings
on a SATA drive - which is what I thought. To me, this means
that the device I bought would only work for connecting a PATA
device to a SATA interface.

I bought the adapter because SATA drives have become less
expensive than PATA drives.

I was offered a refund, so I guess that I will take it.

Thanks for your replies.
