[Discussion] Loading eCS to my Dell

Ira,

F2-Setup has NOTHING to do with Windows (any version!)! It IS a Dell machine's way of accessing the hardware BIOS settings. (Most (generic) mainboards use "del"-key to do this.)

You can change AHCI --> ATA but, as I said previously, I do NOT know what affect(S) it would have on an ALREADY installed OpSys (WinXP). (Whether you're pre-existing Partition would still be visible / accessible is UNknown to me.)

Yes, to install eCS, I /THINK/ you have to use ATA mode. SATA performance might take a /slight/ downturn but it should still function very well.

I believe I owe you an apology as I did not get a reply back to you immediately after the holiday(S). (Now it's, already, Chinese New Year!)
