I think FAT32.IFS is supposed to let OS/2 read and write FAT32 files. Is
config.sys really loading it (i.e., no error message while booting)?. Is the
drive really FAT32 formatted?
-----------------------------------
Well that's how I hoped it would work. But it doesn't seem to.
As far as I can tell, FAT32.IFS is loading without errors. I see no error messages. I can format it in FAT32 using DFSee.
MAC OS X, DFSee and Windows XP all report that the thumb drive is formatted FAT32. I am able to read and write the drive from both OS X and WinXP.
When I plug it into the computer running eCS (v. 2.0 RC6a), I get the message "The device L: has been attached!". However, when I try to open it from the Drives folder, I get the successive messages "No objects were found that matched the specified find criteria" and "The drive or diskette is not formatted correctly.".
LVM, on the other hand, while it sees the device is present, apparently can't do anything with it. It shows as 1908 MB of free space. But when I try to create a partition or a volume, it reports "This free space is unusable".
So I don't know where to go from here. It looks as though something I need is missing.
