With the cost of PC's what it is, you could buy a used or new
preinfested PC with XP on it, and only use it for your tax
program if that's all you need it to do.  I routinely see used
PC's going for what a new XP license sells for, with XP on the
machine (I know, not "legal" but who cares).  It gets you where
you need to go with minimum fuss and time investment.  It's a 
windoze world.  You've already been assimilated, you just don't
realize it yet.
