I use ftpifs (in conjunction with FileStar) to access remote eCS and Linux machines.  
Unfortunately, I haven't found an ftp server that works for windoze; Filezilla server doesn't get 
along well with ftpifs.  I use filezilla client on the doze machines and have ftpd running on the 
other machines.
