Hi all,

A little clarification: I create a text file, I can export it as a PDF, and I can print to a PostScript printer, but when
I choose to print to a file...

It asks for the file name and allows me to select a directory. All appears normal. It even acts like it is writing it.

However, as I stated in the first post, NO FILE by that name, NOR by any part of that name can be found anywhere on any
drive on the computer.

I use a command prompt window as I have for years to find files when lost. Something like:
DIR X:\PARTIAL_FILE_NAME*.* /S/P or
DIR \*.PS /s/p

In short, it claims it did, but it apparently didn't, unless...

Could it be that there is a file written, and maybe even placed in some default directory, but the name I specify, is not
used?

BTW: I often use the print to disk feature in other programs so that files can be placed on a server and printed by
dragging and dropping onto the PostScript printer object. This is the first time I have tried this in Open Office. I
have used Corel for graphics, and Borlands Sprint, a DOS based WP. Now that I am trying to convert files over so we can
standardize to Open Office and I have run into this issue. I have not emailed the file to a Windoze XP machine and tried
the Open Office there to do the print to disk. If it works there, I would think the issue is with OO for os/2.

Regards,

Jim Scott
