Hi Brian,
I have a PCI 10/100 in my desktop that a Buffalo
wireless game adaptor plugs into. It was the cheapest
one I could afford at the local Fry's Electronics
nearby. It was a piece of cake to install. After I
plugged it in, I followed the instructions to change
my IP address to connect to the wireless adaptor to
configure it with a web browser. Once the
configuration was complete. I hcanged my IP address
back to DHCP. My Buffalo has 4 ethernet ports, so it
also acts as a hub. Running 50 or so feet of ethernet
up the stairs was not an option to to safety concerns.
;)
Be sure to configure your wireless connection to be a
secure as possible (do not broadcast in the clear, so
to speak). Mine is a G speed.
Sincerely,
James Cannon
