I completely agree with you. It just does not seem like it should be
so difficult.
I'm running ACPI 3.03, but I just saw a comment that V3.05 is now
available. {I missed any announcement of 3.04.] So, as soon as I get
some time away from my real job, I'll give the new release a try. I
wish I could feel more optimistic...
