Odds are, the problem is ACPI...  Do you have the latest level?  Do you
have the level installed from the CD?  Or one of the several in
between.  The initial level is likely to cause the problem you descri
be IF you select POWER OFF.  But, later levels have their own failings.
 The safest way to deal with this, from a shutdown stand point is to
specify only 'Shutdown' [no power off] or 'Reboot'.
