This shows to everybody that the hardware makers are being hurt by the
MS monopoly. They brought this on themselves, so I do not pitty them,
but now they have an opportunity to fight back. The consumers are asking
them to. They are beginning to understand the diminishing value of MS
"upgrades". I want to bring up the fact that a pernicious Microsoft
Hotfix KB918118 broke Autodesk Inventor, one of the most popular CAD
programs. That, of course, is a disaster for any R/D or Engineering
department that relies on it. Our IT at work is set up so that the
"hotfix" after being removed, gets re-installed upon reboot and you are
back where you started. Let me take this to the logical conclusion: Is
anybody calling for the Lemon Laws to apply to computers? Is there a
class action suit in the works? NOT just curious any more.
