Stephen Wildstrom who writes the Tech & You column in Business Week didn't
have much good to say about Vista. It is a memory hog and is slow. He
really complains about User Account Control. The popup that asks you
about everything. It is apparently as bad as the Apple commercials make
out.
I am currently using XP on a laptop. I don't like it anywhere near as
well as eCS but some things are just so much easier under Windows. XP
compared to eCS is kind of like a VW compared to a BMW. It is cumbersome
but it does work and the programs seem snappy enough.
