Jim,

There have been two suggestion posted:

1)  Use eCSMT to update your system.  It will download and apply
    the SNAP updates and all the rest of the eCS maintenance.
    This is, by far, the best way to keep your system current.
    [If you are not using eCSMT, then no wonder you are discouraged.
    ... You are not using the system to its fullest.

2)  Download the ZIP from eCS.  Specifically:
        snapse-ecs-3.1.8.zip
    When I used this to update a new install of eCS 1.2R that did
    not have a network attachment and could not reasonably use
    eCSMT, it installed and worked just fine in less than a minute.
    NO PROBLEM with any time limitation.

*  Did you do either of these?
*  Is the file above [in #2] the one you say you downloaded?
*  Did you download it from eComStation.Com or from the
   Scitech web site?
