I have used Parallels on a Linux host for over 12mths now, and it /is/ 
as good as they say.  I've run eCS 1.2r guests with 100% success - and 
that includes USB, sound, printer, etc access.  I've not tried it on a 
Mac, but I can't see why it wouldn't be equally as good - MacOS is 
simply BSD.  The only common OS I've not tried in a Parallels VM is 
Vista, and that appears not to be as common as M$ would like.
