While I have seen the package to use the Treo as a modem, I've not
found the real need for it yet. Usually, I can get PC access via a
WiFi. And, unless I need to deal with some large file or something
that is on my TPad, the Treo has handled whatever I've needed. [I
really DO LIKE my Treo! Just got back from a trip to Italy and it
provided everything I needed to keep in touch.]
Again, though, you should check your phone plan to be sure you have a
'Data Plan' so you don't end up paying a fortune for sending data 'by
the drink' instead of 'by the bottle'... The first month I had the
Treo, I exceeded my plan MB and the bill for the extra data was more
than my base monthly service cost.
Have fun with the Treo!
Carl
