[Discussion] eCS and other woes

Brian,

I too am running ECS 1.2R

I also had trouble with USB until I found  -- C:\OS2\Boot\USBMSD.TXT

The bottom line for me after working through, and trying to understand,
I found the "Additional Parameters" Section 2.3 - (I think MSD means 
Mass Storage Device?????)

Removables:

In Config.sys :

BASEDEV=USBMSD.ADD /FLOPPIES:2 /REMOVABLES:N (N being the number of 
slots on your card reader)

After doing this I am able to read my memory cards from my Cannon Camera 
and my SD Memory sticks right from the USB Port.

You may have to click on "Refresh Removable Media" once in a while. Also 
  ,you may have to give it enough time to scan the whole card before it 
reports the device ready.
