I use the NG reader in SeaMonkey [a.k.a., Mozilla Suite], and find it
generally quite adequate [A debate that can take on a life of its own!]
You may want to check with your ISP [assuming you have one other than
Yahoo] for access to a 'free nntp server.' I have found that, while
not advertised very well, many/most ISPs provide such servers to their
users.
