Yes you are missing something here
URL: http://r6.ca/MMAudioPak/
MMAudioPak integrates MP3 into the workplace shell. New choices on RMB are
"Player and Play", and when a tune is playing you have "Stop"
Downside only one tune at a time will play
With MMAudioPak you get a collection of audio IO procedures to extend
OS/2's multimedia syste that works with a MP3 IOproc, mmioVorb 0.3.2 ? an
Ogg Vorbis IOproc and mmioFLAC 0.3.0 ? a FLAC IOproc
With these installed you can right click on a file name ( barrell.mp3 )
select play and the WPS will play the selected MP3 ( barrell.mp3 ) WITH NO
PLAYER VISABLE. Select more than one tune and the WPS will cycle through
the MP3s selected.
When You select Player you get a window much like the CDPlayer. Name of
Tune is displayed in the title bar. When you select multiple tunes you get
multiple windows open and you have to click on play for each tune.
Play is the better choice as it will play all selected tunes one after
ther other
MMAudioPak is a nice extension to the WPS and behaves nicely, writing this
and using Play CPU usage is under 7% here. PM123 eats up the same number
of CPU Cycles. Z! uses slightly less CPU cycles
Took 30 minutes to write this as I did some checking as I was writeing
this
