Well, sure.  Otherwise, you would not be having the problem. :-)

You need to compare apples to apples.  Try running Seamonkey on Windows
for 3 or 4 days without shutting down the Windoex box.  Then you will know
the answer.

Unimaint, checkini and cleanini have been available since the mid-90's. 
There's also Deskman which I am not really familiar with.  There's also
the somewhat newer xfix from XWorkplace/eWP.
