[Discussion] Corel 4 Install on ECS Problem

Dear Jim:

With regard to: Excel and Access working and MS-Publisher not
working; I don't think you can read 'video drivers not working'
from this. Quite simply: they ARE all graphic app.s. They're all
running - or attempting to run - under the MS-Windows environment -
well, IBM's (better) implementation of it - and generally should be
considered 'as equals' in this regard.

Where things MAY differ is: are you running them all in ONE copy of
that envir. OR each in their OWN seperate envir.. In this latter
case, there COULD be differences within EACH seperate envir. That's
what I'd investigate. Can, eg. MS-Pub - or Corel whatever - work
(run WITHin) one of your other two app.s or does this 'crash them'.

Last thought (contradicting myself here), there MAY be COLOR depth
differences (allowances, restrictions) between the app.s. Corel /
MS-Pub may want (or NOT) greater (lesser) 'bits per pixel' than the
two graphical but data-centric app.s.

'nough for now,

Thomas Clayton
