Microsoft's actions and inactions surely affected IBM's decision  
making in regard to OS/2.

They did not, however, have a direct effect on the decision to wipe  
out the Team OS/2 team. That was wholly internal politics and budget  
allocation. And all in the IBM executive's hands.
