[Discussion] OT: My Lost Opportunity

Here I am, replying to myself, again!

That should have been an Arris TM402P - for Telephony Modem with
two telephone ports, one ethernet port (10/100), and a cable-in
port. All with a built-in lithium battery backup UIPS.

The 'other one' - the one I'd prefer to get - is a the Arris TP402A
- for Telephony Port 402A. It has the same ports as the TM402P plus
a cable-out port - to feed a TV. It mounts outside one's house -
just like the one 'they're fixing to' remove. It's UIPS is external
and COULD BE the one, I already have (own?) for the Arris Telephone
NIU (unit) that IS curently on the back wall.

URLs available upon request. (Yeah. I've been researching. First
Cable/Router/Hubs. Not common but they DO exist. Then when told, I
couldn't use them - 'cause of the telephone connection requirement
-Arris telephony products (the brand that the local Comcast service
center showed me).

BTW, Out 'your way' (Phoenix, AZ), is Wide Open West (WOW) the main
cable provider? Just got literature in the mail, today, from them.

Sincerly,

Thomas Clayton
who especially thanks you for letting me get this 'off my chest'!
